New private members’ club to launch at The Cube

A NEW private members’ club and bar will be opened at The Cube in Birmingham.

Lancashire-based Sanguine Hospitality, which last year announced it was leading the leisure offering at the 23-storey mixed-use building, will build a 5,000 sq ft canal-side bar which it claims will mirror the type of exclusive venues seen in London.

The bar, whose named is still to be decided, is expected to be open by the end of this year and joins Sanguine’s Club and Spa, Hotel Indigo Birmingham and Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill at the development.

It will adjoin celebrity hairdresser Adee Phelan’s salon and new Brazilian restaurant Rodizio Rico, completing the canalside area of the building.

Managing director Nick Taplin said the company was aiming to build a “complete leisure destination” at the complex.

“When investing in The Cube, our intentions were always to introduce an exciting new concept to Birmingham,” he added.

“The Cube is set to give residents and visitors everything they need all under one roof.”

Cube director Neil Edginton added: “Since plans for The Cube were first put in place, we have always wanted to launch the first Soho House style private members bar in Birmingham, so we’re delighted to confirm the news that construction will soon be underway.”
