PICTURE GALLERY: WMCCE Awards 2011 winners

TWO of the region’s most iconic construction projects of recent years – the new Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham and the renovation of the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford – were crowned joint winners of the top prize at the WMCCE Awards 2011.

Organised by the West Midlands Centre for Constructing Excellence and hosted at Birmingham’s International Convention Centre, the awards recognise the quality and calibre of the region’s top construction businesses.

There were nine category winners overall with an additional prize for Steve Vickers in recognition of his outstanding contribution to construction during a 42-year career with Birmingham City Council.
