Wasps double header gets moms buzzing

Wasps Netball

A double-header of sport is being laid on at the Ricoh Arena this Mother’s Day weekend with Wasps Netball and Wasps Rugby Club in action.

The weekend begins with Wasps Netball looking to continue their impressive start to the Vitality Netball Superleague season, as they take on Manchester Thunder at 8pm tonight.

Wasps Netball have won four of their opening five games this season, with Thunder experiencing a mixed start to their campaign, winning three of their first five.

This is followed on Sunday with a Midlands derby in rugby’s Aviva Premiership when Wasps take on Worcester Warriors – kick-off at 2.30pm.

For all those neglected mums, the Wasps Fan Village will be laying on a ‘Mum Zone’ relaxation area at both events – from 4.45pm for the netball and midday for the rugby.

Mums will be treated to a free glass of prosecco and a cupcake and have a chance to take advantage of a free head and shoulder massage on a first come first served basis.

On Sunday, youngsters in the Fan Village are also being given the chance to design a new house for club mascot Sting, with the winner being chosen to help Sting entertain the crowd for Wasps’ clash with Northampton Saints on Sunday, April 9.
