Aldi pledges to create dozens of jobs at Coventry supermarket

A new supermarket in Coventry is set to create 27 jobs when its opens this summer.

Aldi UK has confirmed that its new store in Coventry will open on May 4. It will generate a mix of full and part-time posts.

The 1,254 sq ft store at Airport Retail Park is one of 70 Aldi is opening nationally this year, and its sixth in Coventry. It will have 454 car parking spaces shared with other retailers.

The company is currently recruiting for the new positions. They will report to Janet Randle, who has already been appointed store manager.

The new store will be open from 8am until 10pm every day apart from Sunday, when it opens from 10am to 4pm.

Aldi, the current Grocer of the Year, derives more than three quarters (77%) of its sales from products sourced via British suppliers. All its core range of fresh meat is from British farms and the company is the official supermarket partner of Team GB.
