A Midlands accountancy firm has relocated its two Coventry offices to a newly-refurbished building on the outskirts of the city.

Baldwins Accountants has moved from its offices on Binley Road and Manor Road to Middlemarch Business Park on Siskin Drive on a long-term lease.

All 60 members of staff from both offices have made the move to the two-storey, 8,000 sq ft premises and will service more than 2,000 businesses across a wide variety of sectors.

The office will house a variety of departments such as outsourcing and bookkeeping, tax consultants, audit and accounts.

The move comes as the Walsall-headquartered accountancy group undergoes a strategic expansion which over the last 12 months has seen it grow from 16 to 34 offices across the country, including the recent acquisition of Birmingham-based accountancy firm Finnieston Berry.

Richard Clayton is one of five directors working at the new Coventry office alongside John Edwards, Rob Anderson, Mark McLean and Mark Butler.

Mr Clayton said: “This new office provides us with a fantastic platform from which we can develop and grow over the coming years.

“We already have a widespread client base ranging from small owner managed businesses to complex groups.

“A lot of our clients are themselves experiencing rapid growth and this move will ensure that we have the space and facilities to enable us to adapt and work even more efficiently and collaboratively.”

The firm is planning to hold an open day in due course, with clients being offered the opportunity to look around.
The new offices were opened by former British 5000 metre world record holder, Dave Moorcroft, after the firm named one of the meeting rooms after the runner.

To mark the occasion, the accountancy firm has also made a £250 donation to enable a group of Coventry schoolchildren to attend the International Children’s Games in Lithuania this summer.
