Stoford and Gallan Group set to collaborate on Liverpool regeneration scheme

How the Liverpool 57 development will look

Birmingham property developers Stoford Developments and Gallan Group are to collaborate on a 1.2m sq ft of warehouse and logistics project in Liverpool.

Stonebridge Cross is set to be a key employment site in the city and the commitment to the multi-million pound project follows the announcement by Everton Football Club that it is to build a new stadium at Bramley Moore Dock.

The football club had been considering two sites – Liverpool 57 at Stonebridge Cross and Bramley-Moore Dock at Liverpool Waters – as it looks to move from its current home at Goodison Park.

Dan Gallagher, joint managing director of Stoford Developments, said the decision means that the development of Liverpool 57 could now go ahead, bringing major investment and hundreds of jobs to the region, in partnership with Liverpool City Council.

The recent completion of an estate road combined with the existing planning consent leaves the site ready for immediate development.

The redevelopment is set to be a vital component in Liverpool’s future economy and part of a wider vision that will deliver a £13bn of investment and create 40,000 new jobs across the Liverpool City Region over the coming decade.

The 55-acre site has detailed planning consent for 1.2m sq ft of B8 accommodation. It offers immediately deliverable design and build solutions on freehold or leasehold terms, with industrial and warehouse units ranging from 86,000 sq ft to 1.1million sq ft. It is located near junction 4 of the M57, just 6 miles from the Port of Liverpool and 12 miles from Jaguar Land Rover’s Halewood plant and Liverpool John Lennon Airport at Speke.

Mr Gallagher said: “Now that Everton FC has confirmed its plans, we are excited at the prospect of creating a first class industrial and logistics development at Liverpool 57.

“The project will generate significant inward investment to the city and provides businesses with design and build opportunities in an excellent location.”
