Palletforce posts record profits

Burton palletised freight network has posted record profits for the year-ending 30 September 2016.

The firm, which was bought by EmergeVest in 2015, made a profit of £4.1m for the year, up from £3.3m the previous year. Revenues were down slightly to £96.5m – but over a shorter accounting period of 51 weeks against 57 in 2015.

Meanwhile, pallet volumes at the firm has increased to a record 3.2m pallets a year.

Palletforce made two acquisitions during the year; buying QTR Transport and UK Freight Masters.

The firm is also set to open its 620,000 sq ft SuperHub at its Burton headquarters later this year which will be capable of processing in excess of 30,000 pallets per night for distribution across the UK and the continent.
