REI agrees new leasing deal on Grade A offices

Peat House

Birmingham-based property company Real Estate Investors has secured a major tenancy deal on one of its offices in the East Midlands.

The company, headed by property entrepreneur Paul Bassi, has agreed a ten-year lease for the second floor of one of Peat House, a Grade A office building on Waterloo Way, in Leicester’s prime office quarter.

AIM-listed REI has agreed a rent of more than £23,000 a year with the Innes England group, commercial property agents in Derby, Leicester and Nottingham.

Innes England is taking a 1,738 sq ft open plan space within the building and in doing so, joins existing tenants such as KPMG and Bellrock Facilities Management.

Ian Clark, senior asset manager at REI, said: “We’re really pleased to welcome Innes England to what’s becoming one of Leicester’s most-sought after offices.”

He said while the firm still had space available in the offices, interest from potential tenants was high.

Each floor within the building is finished to a high specification, including air-conditioning throughout, suspended ceilings, recessed lighting and full carpeting.

There is on-site security, and secure basement car parking with direct access into the reception area.
