5 things to do in the West Midlands this weekend

The Wedding Singer
It’s 1985; Hair is huge, greed is good and rock-star wannabe Robbie Hart is New Jersey’s favourite wedding singer. Birmingham Pride
The largest LGBT festival in the UK returns this Bank Holiday weekend. The festival, which is held in the gay village on Hurst Street also features a carnival parade through the city centre, a dance arena and funfair. The festival also has a range of acts take to the stage, including Dua Lipa, Basement Jaxx, Gabrielle, Boney M, Sigala and Sophie Ellis-Bextor, as well as a street party to get involved in. Tudor Weekend
Head along to Blakesley Hall for a Tudor Weekend on Sunday and Monday. Sir Robert Cecil’s Men are set to host talks, drama and demonstrations over the two days. There will be Tudor games to get involved in, quill pen writing, Tudor dancing and much more. There will also be traditional music and the chance for the kids to dress up too. Find out more here.

Mod All Dayer
The Night Owl in Digbeth are hosting a MOD all day event on Sunday. The event will celebrate all things Mod, with live sets from Mods & Sods, DJs and more live music and entertainment. Grease
Dust off your leather jackets and head to the Birmingham Hippodrome on Bank Holiday Monday to enjoy Grease on stage. Starring The Wanted’s Tom Parker as Danny and Over The Rainbow winner Danielle Hope as Sandy, the show will feature all the classic songs, including Summer Nights, Grease Is The Word, You’re The One That I Want.
