CFO resigns from portable power group to take up new role

The chief financial officer of Staffordshire-based portable power supplier Aggreko is to step down from the business after 13 years.

Carole Cran has tendered her resignation from the group to enable her to take up a new role as CFO of Forth Ports, an infrastructure funds owned company, headquartered in Scotland.

Ms Cran has corporate finance and accounting experience acquired over a number of years in senior financial roles. with considerable exposure to emerging markets.

She was appointed to the Aggreko board as CFO in June 2014, having first joined the business in 2004. Her previous roles included Group Financial Controller and Director of Finance.

During her time with the business she worked to align financial strategies with the strategic direction of the business.
She was also appointed as a Non-Executive Director of Halma on January 1, 2016.

Prior to joining Aggreko, she spent seven years at BAE Systems, in a range of senior financial positions, including four years in Australia. Ms Cran is a chartered accountant, having trained at KPMG while working in its audit divisions in the UK and Australia.

Aggreko has begun the process of finding her successor and she will leave the business following an orderly handover within the next 12 months.

Aggreko will report its half year results for the period ending June 30, 2017 on August 2.
