Construction group’s two-year deal “worth up to £60m”

Construction group Morgan Sindall has secured a contract extension which will be worth up to £60m for work in the West Midlands.

It has agreed an additional two-year deal with Western Power Distribution for a framework agreement to deliver excavation, cable laying and reinstatement works.

The original deal began in November 2014 and will now run until October 2019.

John Morgan, chief executive of Morgan Sindall Group, said: “We are very pleased to have been awarded this contract extension, which we believe reflects the close and productive working relationships we have with Western Power Distribution, and the quality of the work we do.

“It also reflects the range of skills and capabilities we have in our construction and infrastructure division and its strong position for the future.”
