M6 motorists warned of long delays as incident closes two lanes

Motorists are being warned of long delays on the M6 southbound between Junctions 10 (Walsall) and 9 (Wednesbury) following an incident.

Two lanes out of four are closed and there are reports of long delays on the already-slow section of carriageway.

Traffic is backing up towards Junction 11 (Cannock) and Highways England is warning of delays of around an hour getting past the scene. With the onset of the evening rush-hour, the situation is getting worse.
