Trebor appoints contractors for Airfield 55

Trebor Developments, in conjunction with funding partner, Kay Properties (Midlands), has appointed constructors for its Airfield 55 project in Aldridge.

A&H Construction, which has partnered with the developer on other projects, will now build the speculative 55,000 sq ft industrial unit, whicuh is based at Airfield Drive.

The project, which benefits from grant funding provided through the Black Country LEP, will begin on site in September for completion and occupation by April 2018.

Trebor and Kay Properties (Midlands) are bringing forward the speculative development in response to the ongoing shortage of industrial space within the region.

Bob Tattrie, managing partner, Trebor, said: “We are delighted to be delivering another speculative, industrial premises in the Midlands, which responds to a unit size which is difficult to find.  We expect strong occupier interest.”

Airfield 55 is being marketed by joint agents, BNP Paribas Birmingham office (Andrew Cosnett) and Burley Browne, Birmingham office (Mark Fitzpatrick).

A&H Construction is currently working with Trebor on the new 270,000 sq ft factory for Steel and Alloy Processing, which is relocating from West Bromwich to a 12-acre site off Popes Lane, Oldbury,
