Accountants sew up office deal as part of growth strategy

Midlands accountancy firm Cottons has bought its Rugby offices as part of its long-term plans to grow the business.

Cottons was founded in 1983 and spread out from its Northants headquarters. It now also has offices in Banbury and Daventry, while it opened a London office in May.

The firm is pursuing an expansion strategy and is targeting growth of at least 10% each year for the next three years.

The plans build on the foundation of a 30% increase in turnover in the last two years.

Mark Palmer, partner at Cottons Chartered Accountants, said: “We are really pleased that the acquisition of our Rugby premises has been successful. We have operated from Chestnut Field House for the last four years and really feel at home here.

“The premises suit our business well and meet our needs ideally, offering plenty of space to accommodate ongoing growth and increasing staff numbers.”

Cottons, which employs 18 people in Rugby, has been supportedin its property purchase by a six-figure funding deal from the Royal Bank of Scotland.

David Ingamells, relationship director at Royal Bank of Scotland, added: “The purchase cements their future in Rugby and provide the company with long term security.”
