Classic car enthusiasts will be excited to see Birmingham’s largest ever parade of Ferraris on Friday, July 28.

The 70 iconic vehicles are set to drive through the city centre, lining-up at Victoria Square between 12.30pm-4pm to celebrate the 70th anniversary of one of the world’s most famous automotive brands.

The event will showcase dozens of rare and privately-owned Ferrari cars, including the Limited Series LaFerrari Aperta, of which only 200 will ever be sold, meaning this will be a rare opportunity for car fanatics across the Midlands to see the collection in one place.

Birmingham is one of only four locations to host the Ferrari 70th Anniversary Tour this summer.

Demonstrator cars will be among the collection and there will also be opportunities to sit inside the cars and talk to Ferrari specialists about them.

A spokesperson said: “The parade is a family event, so if you have children who love cars this is the perfect opportunity for them to see some truly amazing vehicles, take lots of photographs and enjoy a great day out in Birmingham.”

Colmore Row (from Newhall Street) to Waterloo Street (junction of Bennetts Hill) will be closed to all traffic to enable the parade, except for deliveries servicing businesses located in the Colmore Row/Water Street loop.

The closure will be in place from 11am to 1/1.30pm while the cars start arriving and parking up on Victoria Square. The closure will then be lifted and then reinstated at 4/4.30 pm for when the cars leave the square.
