Mobile technology firm RNF Digital Innovation has secured £250,000 investment from a former senior trader at Goldman Sachs who retired earlier this year.

46 year-old Guy Saidenberg stepped down as Goldman Sachs’ global head of sales, strats and structuring and has decided to back the Leamington Spa-based business.

RNF wants to further develop its customer engagement platform BEAM. The investment will fund the addition of functionality which allows businesses to learn more about their customers and deliver digital content through mobile apps in a targeted and contextualised manner.

The platform uses customer data and analytics, combined with location services such as iBeacons, to provide context to communications, ensuring campaigns are relevant, timely and easily measured.

“The fact that we’ve secured an investor with as much experience and oversight of global trends as Guy Saidenberg to develop the platform is testament to the potential it offers and we’re delighted to have him on board,” said RNF’s managing director Rob Mannion.

“BEAM is already powering many of our most-effective enterprise apps but we know there is greater functionality we can bring to the table that will add further value.”

The BEAM platform is separate from RNF’s apps and is designed to integrate with an enterprise’s back-office systems.

Mannion added: “The availability of customer data and new technologies are driving considerable change across every sector. Our goal is to develop the BEAM platform to help businesses keep up with these changes quickly and easily, maximising the commercial opportunities they offer without unnecessary disruption to the business.”
