Property Appointments: Stoford; Harris Lamb; GVA

Edward Peel, Stoford

Birmingham developer Stoford has expanded its city-based team with the recruitment of experienced acquisitions manager Edward Peel.

Mr Peel joins the firm pubco Mitchells & Butlers, where he spent three years acquiring city centre and suburban sites for core brands.

His role as development manager at Stoford will see him working alongside the team of Dan Gallagher, Gerard Ludlow and Tony Nash on major projects including developments in Bristol, Worcester and Leamington Spa.

Mr Peel’s career began at Colliers International in Birmingham where he became a Senior Surveyor. He graduated from Nottingham Trent University in 2009 with a degree in Real Estate Management.

Ruth Stanton, Harris Lamb

Harris Lamb has strengthened its property management team with the appointment of a new facilities manager.

Ruth Stanton joins the business from CBRE, where she spent seven years as a regional facilities manager, and has previous experience working with Big Lottery Fund.

With extensive experience in managing a diverse portfolio of properties of varying uses and sizes, overseeing tenant and service provider relationships, managing contractors and health and safety management, Ms Stanton is set to enhance the 12-strong management team and further develop the business’ service offering.

Ruth has a great deal of experience, managing a range of offices, industrial sites and retail parks of varying sizes, undertaking inspections and ensuring that health and safety guidance is met and that clients are compliant with ever-changing legislation.”

Luke Thacker and David Willmer, GVA

GVA has bolstered its Industrial and Distribution team in the Midlands with the appointment of a new associate.

Luke Thacker, who joined the firm in 2005 as a graduate in the Restructuring and Recovery business unit, has transferred to the Industrial team and will be working on a number of significant industrial schemes, including Fradley Park, Lichfield, and Solihull’s Solar Park.

David Willmer, Senior Director and National Head of Industrial and Distribution, said: “While the first few months of the year were very steady, we’ve seen a strong upswing in activity with rising levels of demand for good quality stock of all sizes.
