Dentist all smiles as £1.66m funding deal supports acquisition
A West Midlands dental group has expanded following a new acquisition in the Black Country.
Dr Amit Jutlla, owner of Priory Dental Practice, secured a £1.66m funding package from Santander Business Banking enabling him to acquire Ashleigh Dental Practice in Leamore.
The acquisition takes the group up to three practices and expands the total workforce from 18 to 23, with further jobs a possibility subject to the expansion of the Leamore operation.
Dr Jutlla has been practising dentistry since qualifying in 2006 and purchased his first dental practice in Aldridge in 2008. In 2013, he purchased an additional practice in Shrewsbury and has since upgraded both to offer advanced services such as cosmetic dentistry.
In addition to funding the acquisition, the loan from Santander will also go towards upgrading facilities at the new practice, where Dr Jutlla is looking to replicate the successful formula of late-night and Saturday openings, which has proved very effective in attracting clients to his other two practices.
Dr Jutlla said: “The business has seen real growth in recent years and it’s exciting that we are now able to open our third practice in the region. Our customers increasingly require flexibility and need to visit dentists and doctors outside of the ‘9-5’ so I’m delighted that we can now offer that.”
