Law firm Browne Jacobson, which employs over 600 people in Nottingham, has posted revenues of £66.8m for the financial year ending 30 April 2017, a rise of 5% on 2015/16.

The company says growth was driven by strong activity across health, public sector, corporate and education.

2016-17 also saw the firm apppoint 13 new partners and announce plans to relocate its Manchester operation to No1 Spinningfields.

Iain Blatherwick, Managing Partner, said: “This is the eighth year in succession that we have delivered growth.

“Despite the lingering uncertainty over Brexit and growing price pressures, I am delighted that we have successfully maintained the momentum we have built over many years whilst continuing to invest in key areas.

“Whilst we expect the next 12 months to be just as challenging we are quietly confident that we will be able to continue to grow the business across all our key sectors.”

Sarah Walker Smith, chief operating officer, added: “The next twelve months will prove a milestone for the firm.

“This time next year our ambitious move to No.1 Spinningfields in Manchester will be complete.

“We expect our agile and flexible working initiative, Mogility, will be rolled out to all our offices and we will look to have made significant strides on further implementing our quality and growth strategy, consolidating the investments we have made over the last year whilst continuing to deliver the high quality of client service that has been the cornerstone of our success to date.”
