PR agency secures hat-trick of new accounts

FANUC UK

Birmingham PR agency, WPR has expanded its client base with the addition of three new accounts.

The Edgbaston-based firm has secured the accounts for Nexus Alpha, FANUC UK and Plumbase.

The wins come in the wake of WPR being named the Midlands’ largest PR agency after recording a 15% growth in turnover in 2016.

The work for Nexus Alpha, a leading provider of intelligent rail transport information systems for both control rooms and customer information, involves both content creation and digital marketing.

WPR has also broadened its capabilities in engineering and manufacturing by securing the FANUC UK account after a competitive pitch.

FANUC, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of factory automation systems, including industrial robots, CNC controls, vertical milling centres and EDM injection moulding machines, has retained WPR to provide content creation and social media management.

The agency has also increased its presence in the construction and plumbing sectors with the Plumbase account. The national plumbers’ merchant supplies plumbing and heating products, boiler spares, bathrooms and renewables. WPR will be providing content creation and trade media relations.

WPR’s B2B division is now managed by a team of 16 with capabilities in PR, content creation, content marketing and social media marketing.

Tom Leatherbarrow, B2B Director at WPR, said: “The growth of the B2B division, alongside our success in B2C, has been a major driver behind the continued growth and success of the agency.

“These most recent wins illustrate our capabilities across a range of sectors, but specifically our ability to develop and deliver engaging campaigns for highly technical subject areas, such as industrial robotics, that are actively influencing buyer behavior for our clients.”
