Four restaurants sign up to Waterfront development

Kier Property, the development arm of the Kier Group, has announced that four large food and beverage brands have signed up at its Waterfront leisure destination in Walsall.

Five Guys, Cream’s, Subway and GBK (Gourmet Burger Kitchen) are all expected to open at the development next month.

This second phase, totalling 11,000 sq ft, completes Kier Property’s involvement in the £65m scheme.

It sits next to phase one, which opened in July last year and hosts brands Pizza Express, Chiquito’s, Greene King, Bella Italia and The Light Cinemas.

Tom Gilman, Kier Property’s managing director (North) said: “We are delighted to be able to announce such strong brands at Walsall. We’re sure the strength of these brand will mirrors the success of the phase one.”

Cllr Jeavons, portfolio holder for Regeneration at Walsall Council added: “These restaurants will make a fantastic addition to the Waterfront – creating jobs and offering further choice in the town centre for our shoppers and visitors.”

Kier Property sold the scheme to Standard Life in 2016 and was advised by JLL on all transactions.
