Waste firm employees jailed for 40 months after flytipping
Two Birmingham men who ran an unlicensed waste collection service have been jailed for 40 months after being convicted of a string of flytipping offences.
Andrew Smithson, aged 31, of Cranleigh Place, Perry Barr, pleaded guilty at Birmingham Crown Court to nine flytipping offences under the Environmental Protection Act 1990, and three further offences under the Fraud Act 2006, Forgery and Counterfeiting Act 1981, and Scrap Metal Dealers Act 2013.
