Industrial estate buoyed by brace of new lettings

Wednesbury Trading Estate

Black Country property agent Bulleys has brokered two major lettings on Wednesbury Trading Estate.

The first sees Irpen UK take a lease on units totaling 16,293 sq ft. The cast acrylic sheet manufacturer and distributors also has a base in Manchester.

It is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Irpen group, which has ten branches across Spain and outlets in France and Germany.

The second deal sees Warwickshire cleaning supplies business Cherwell take 8,075 sq ft.

Cherwell is one of the UK’s leading distributors of catering, hygiene, janitorial and cleaning supplies. It supplies schools, the higher education sector, bars, hotels, restaurants, contract cleaners, facilities management, GPs, hospitals and vets.

The deals mean Bulleys has secured eight transactions on the estate so far this year, and other properties are under offer.

It said Block P had just come to the market, a 46,490 sq ft warehouse inclusive of a two-storey office block, and it was already generating good interest.

Max Shelley, senior surveyor at Bulleys, said the site’s connectivity due to its location off the main A41 Black Country New Road, within half a mile of Wednesbury town centre, was a major factor in its attrtaction.

An investment in upgrading security features on site including a new electric gates and a CCTV system had also continued.

Bulleys is joint agent for the estate with Harris Lamb.
