Harris Lamb puts a spring in its step for new trampoline park

Plans for a new trampoline park in Coventry have been approved.

Harris Lamb’s planning team has been working with trampoline park operators Jump In to secure consent for the new scheme, which will be based in a vacant warehouse in the Tile Hill area of the city.

The new facility could create 60 jobs when it is fully operational.

Jump In, which has a number of similar activity centres across the UK, was attracted to Coventry as it is currently the largest metropolitan area in the UK without a trampoline park.

The 1,850 sqm unit at Earlplace will now be transformed into the new facility, which will include interconnected trampolines, wall trampolines, a foam pit, a dedicated toddler jump space and a Gladiators-style battle beam.

Simon Hawley, of Harris Lamb’s planning team, said: “We’re delighted that planning officers and councillors have recognised the positive impact this application will have on the city.

“Not only will it provide a lease of life for a site that has stood empty for four years, but it will also create 60 jobs, and provide a great new facility for residents and visitors to the city.”

He said the company had extensive experience in operating such activity centres.

“With the closest trampoline park to Coventry being located in Warwick – a centre also operated by Jump In, the business is confident that the facility will be well received in the city,” he added.

Neil Slade, of Harris Lamb’s agency team, brokered the deal for the site with landlords Avon Capital Estates (ACE), prior to a planning application for change of use being submitted.

The new park is expected to open in the spring.
