A Solihull wine merchants is targeting a doubling of its turnover with the launch of new facilities.

Following the launch, the firm will be offering wine tastings, professional wine courses and exclusive wine related events for both trade customers and wine lovers.

The plan is part of a strategy to double turnover over the next two years – a plan which has already seen the firm achieve 30% growth this year.

The strong impetus in the business has also led to a number of new jobs being created, including a new full time retail customer services advisor, Nigel Merrick. Additionally, the firm has also taken on extra staff to cope with the increased demand in the run-up to Christmas.

William Frazier, managing director at Frazier’s Wine Merchants, said; “We are very much looking forward to next spring and celebrating the launch of the studio with our long-time customers and friends.

“The studio will make a real difference to our customers and the future of Frazier’s, providing an exciting new service for wine lovers.”

The new studio has been designed by Dorridge based architects Cross & Craig Associates, while Birmingham-based Westridge Construction is carrying out the building work.

Phil Smith, partner of Westridge Construction, said: “The work has been carefully phased to enable Frazier’s to carry out their day to day business and we look forward to handing over the finished product and raising a glass in celebration early in the New Year.”

Vicki Potter, Architect Director of Cross and Craig, comments: “The remodelling has enabled the creation of modern offices and an inspiring, welcoming wine studio. The design has been tailored from the outset to allow the construction work to carry on around the operating of the business and we are excited to see this now moving into the final stages of its transformation.”
