Speedy deal is a gem for Diamond Facilities

Speedy Services

An expanding facilities management company has signed a six-figure deal to service one of the UK’s leading hire providers.

Speedy Services, which provide a range of services from plant hire to the sale and hire of tools and specialist equipment to businesses and the general public, has enlisted Diamond Facilities Support to service more than 200 of its depots around the UK and Ireland in a deal worth £400,000 plus per annum.

The on-going agreement will see Diamond Facilities Support, which has its headquarters at Birmingham Business Park, provide Speedy Service’s depots with reactive and quoted works, and access to a rapidly growing 24-hour helpdesk.

Speedy Services was founded more than 40 years ago and now has a range of over 2,400 products in its catalogue while also diversifying into other services such as safety training, fuel management and event management.

Adam Atkins, joint managing director at Diamond Facilities Support, said: “This long-term deal sees our business breaking into the hiring sector for the first time after winning an extremely competitive tender process.

“We have won a number of contracts this year in the charity, retail and leisure sectors to help us reach our end of year target of £9m turnover, but working with Speedy Services is one of our biggest deals yet.

“Breaking into new sectors is key to helping us grow as a business, and we look forward to working with Speedy over the coming years.”

Simon Knapton – Speedy Group Facility and Project Manager UK & Ireland, added: “The partnership is one we are hoping to evolve and develop by continuously reviewing both the performance and the strategic vision of the parties via robust key performance indicators and service level agreements.”
