Trampoline firm bounces around investment plans

Air Space trampoline park in Wolverhampton

The UK’s largest trampoline park operator is to carry out a major overhaul of its sites as part of a new investment.

Oxygen Freejumping, which has a centre in Wolverhampton, is planning on introducing innovative new features and activities to maintain its position as market leader.

In addition to Wolverhampton – which the company only acquired in July – Oxygen has operations in London (West Acton), Southampton, Manchester, Derby, Wigan, Leeds Cardigan Fields, Croydon, East Kilbride and Stevenage.

The 30,000 sq ft West Acton park, which opened in July 2015, will be the first to receive a makeover. The company plans on investing more than £500,000 into the centre, which will support a range of new features aimed at providing an activity-focused experience where users undertake numerous individual challenges and games.

The new zones being introduced across the group will include:

• Reaction walls
• Slam dunk basketball hoops
• Trampoline volleyball
• Ninja warrior courses
• Professional gymnastic zones
• Sprung gymnastic floors

The new features are designed to appeal to a broad demographic and to a capture a range of events from children’s birthday parties to adults at corporate events.

New and improved performance gymnastic zones will also support the growth of Oxygen’s School of Trampolining, which teaches more than 2,500 people accredited gymnastics tuition every week.

David Stalker, CEO of Oxygen Freejumping, said: “The Oxygen experience is so much more than simply ‘jumping on a trampoline’, and our reinvestment programme will introduce exciting new facilities as well as a brand new look and feel for each park.

“The re-investment will ensure we welcome even more jumpers during 2018 and beyond.”
