Constructor appoints former Trade Minister as new chairman

Lord Jones of Birmingham

One of the West Midlands’ best-known business figures has been recruited to be the new chairman of a Birmingham construction firm.

ProBuild360, based in Aston, is an independent design, planning, management and building company.

Growth has seen the firm expand with the opening of a new showroom where it can demonstrate its capabilities to clients.

To support its growth strategy and to raise its profile within the sector, the firm has persuaded Digby, Lord Jones of Birmingham to put his name to the business.

The former Trade Minister, who is attached to some of the region’s biggest businesses, including Jaguar Land Rover and JCB, has agreed to become the firm’s chairman and non-executive director.

Bahram Parinchy, managing director, Probuild360 said: “We are delighted Lord Digby Jones is joining us in our business, especially in light of the exposure the sector is having in the wake of the collapse of Carillion.”

He said the move was part of the firm’s ambition to restore the good reputation of the construction sector.

Lord Digby Jones said: “I am delighted to accept the position with this great Birmingham construction company who are financially stable, have no debt and offer quality workmanship in the market and have the ability to deliver.”

He said he had been impressed by the company’s ambitions and its approach to projects and clients.
