Care home group expands portfolio with new acquisition

A West Midland health care provider has expanded its portfolio with the acquisition of a third property following a new funding deal.

Oaktrees Healthcare, which is owned by father and son Pete and Mohan Saini, has purchased Oriel Care Home in Stourbridge. The value of the deal, funded by Barclays, has not been disclosed.

The family business, which was established in 2012, also owns Bonehill Lode in Fazeley and The Croft in Finchfield, Wolverhampton.

Oriel Care Home, situated on the Hagley Road, provides care for 33 clients and employs 40 staff.

Director Pete Saini said: “When we first set up the business in 2012, it was our ambition to provide a high level of quality care. We believe we have achieved this at both Bonehill Lodge and The Croft.

“Our plan now is to enhance the reputation at Oriel Care Home to offer the best standard of care we can to our clients and a great environment for our staff.”

Richard Bridgwood, Relationship Director at Barclays in the Black Country said: “Since its inception in 2012, Oaktrees Healthcare has gone from strength to strength and become a real force in the care homes industry in this area. I wish them every success with the ongoing development of Oriel Care Home in Stourbridge.”
