First look at Birmingham’s new Ivy restaurant

The first images have been released illustrating how the latest addition to Birmingham’s dining offer – The Ivy Temple Row – will look when the new venue opens in the spring.

The new restaurant (see below), on the corner of Temple Street and Temple Row, is housed in a 7,000 sq ft space which formerly comprised the Austin Reed and Louis Vuitton shops.

The restaurant, in keeping with its famous London counterpart, will feature a signature green colour palette, contrasted with burnt orange banquettes and polished marble floors. The restaurant will accommodate 135 diners, with space for a further 20 in a private dining room.

In a statement, the restaurant said: “The brasserie will exude the familiar luxury of its sister restaurants, but with a focus on accessibility as well as glamour.

“Whilst booking a table on a Saturday night is advised, the restaurant will pride itself on holding back a certain amount of covers each day for walk-in diners, so those living and working locally can drop in at their leisure.”

The Ivy Temple Row will be open early morning to late evening seven days a week, serving an extensive all-day menu of breakfast, elevenses, lunch, afternoon tea, cocktails, weekend brunch and dinner.

Laura Bamber, operations manager for The Ivy Collection, said: “With a food scene as strong as Birmingham’s, the city is the perfect location for The Ivy Collection, and we’re excited to open here later this spring.

“As Temple Row is situated right in the heart of the business district, we hope to become part of the local community.”
