Logistics group expands sales force to consolidate growth

A Birmingham-based freight and logistics operator is to expand its sales force by 50% as it looks to consolidate growth.

Europa Worldwide Group said the growth of its telesales team during 2018 would support its ongoing sales drive across its Air & Sea, Road, Warehousing and Showfreight divisions.

The team, based at Europa’s hub in Minworth, has mounted a recruitment campaign to attract the personnel it needs.

Telesales Manager, Sonal Patel (pictured), has worked in telesales for 20 years and has been with Europa since the business was acquired by managing director Andrew Baxter, in 2014.

She said that boosting the telesales team represented an important investment in the future growth of the business.

“Europa’s approach to business is refreshing and as a long-standing leader in the industry, we’re confident of the growth plans,” she said.

“Telesales is an integral aspect of the business and it’s not just time spent on the phone; liaising with our field sales team, contact with our 11 regional branches and ensuring our customers receive the best possible service come part and parcel with the role.”

Angus Hind, Director of Air & Sea at Europa, said: “Our telesales team do a great job of creating genuine, lasting relationships with new customers; we want to expand this team with likeminded individuals to help grow all of Europa’s divisions.”

Europa Worldwide Group employs 650 people across 12 sites in the UK, plus Hong Kong. It is represented in 100 countries around the globe.
