Rosconn set for a promising year

Rosconn Strategic Land ended 2017 strongly with land sales at Coleshill, North Warwickshire, to Crest Nicholson and Heather, North West Leicestershire to Bellway.

The company is a privately-owned land promotion company based in Stratford-upon-Avon which specialises in the promotion of residential led development schemes, typically spanning 20 houses to around 500 houses.

Founder Dan O’Donnell said: “Team Rosconn was delighted to have maximised the land value of the two land parcels and continue to deliver our customers with an exemplary level of service, closing out the calendar year in such a strong fashion.”

An exciting first quarter for Rosconn Strategic Land in 2018, where it has grown the portfolio of sites with transactions agreed on a mixture of allocated sites in Neighbourhood Development Plans and Local Plans.

Dan Hatcher, Rosconn’s planning director, said: “It’s so important to have the right mix of land opportunities within the portfolio of sites, where we can engage meaningfully with local communities and key local stakeholders to deliver residential led developments that are more palatable to a broader percentage of the community.

“Delivering the key benefits and much needed affordable housing, in a timely fashion and ensuring that our plans actually get delivered.”

Two new members of the team join the growing business, with Eric having joined from Australia as a planner and Katrina in finance and accounts, bringing the team number to nine.

Nick Carr, operations director, said: “It’s great to have Eric and Katrina aboard, which helps us in continuing to service our client base to a level that surpasses their expectation.

“We are always looking for new recruits to join the team and are still seeking an experienced planner and a strategic land operator. Having been with the company for 11 years, I know how positive Rosconn is for team members. We are a results based business where it’s all about delivery of planning permission and smooth site sale process which achieves the landowner a maximised land value.”

Rosconn is busy preparing several planning applications which will be submitted in the coming weeks, with a number of these towards the outer edges of its two-hour work zone radius from Stratford-upon-Avon.

With the expansion of the team and ambitious future growth plans comes expansion of the office space which will be under way very shortly. This will nearly double the size of the office and offer a fresh inspiring space to welcome people to Rosconn House.

Just ahead of the first quarter closing John Breese, a senior member of its project team, announced that Rosconn had received planning permission at Belbroughton, Worcestershire – a detailed planning consent achieved at local level in an aspirational location.

Breese said: “Through engaging with the local authority, we managed to negotiate a planning permission which will supply much needed housing stock in a village that is constrained via green belt protection.”

It’s going to be a busy year with, hopefully, lots of positive results.
