Friend MTS, the Birmingham-based content and revenue protection specialist, has won international recognition for its video identification technology at the global Emmy Awards.

The company received the Technology and Engineering Emmy Award given by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) at a ceremony in Las Vegas, USA.

The award recognised Friend MTS for its work on video identification technology to protect content value and copyright.

The company’s security services are designed for broadcast and OTT applications, and include global channel monitoring coupled with fingerprint-based automatic content recognition, and watermarking for advanced subscriber identification.
