Expansion for fast-growing language school
A language service provider, part of Global University Systems (GUS), a Netherlands-headquartered international network of higher-education institutions, has expanded into new offices in Birmingham.
Blue Marble Asset Management (Blue Marble) alongside its joint venture partner Antringham Developments, acted on behalf of Pemberstone Group to let 3,645 sq ft of office space on the second floor of 63 Church Street to Accent Language, trading as The Language Gallery, on a new 10 year lease.
Presently based in Centre City in Birmingham’s Hill Street, The Language Gallery teaches English to foreign students, as well as offering night classes in German and Spanish.
“This will be the third training centre based at 63 Church Street. The decision also to seek D1 usage for the whole of the office building when we acquired it has really paid off for us,” says Tim Matthews, Blue Marble chief executive.
The Language Gallery joins Midlands law firm Harrison Clark Rickerbys, international beauty brand, Elemis, the Lifetime Training Group and Blue Marble itself at 63 Church Street.
Only one floor of 3,645 sq ft presently remains vacant, but this is under offer to a travel company, at a quoting rent of £18.50 per sq ft, with the deal expected to complete in the next week or so.
Matthews added: “We are delighted with the progress of lettings at 63 Church Street as we move to being 100% occupied. Our comprehensive refurbishment of modern office space behind a pleasing traditional façade has worked well.”
