Four of region’s restaurants named in Top 100

Four West Midlands restaurants have been named in the top 100 outside London.

The rankings, compiled by dining website SquareMeal.co.uk from thousands of votes, placed Birmingham restaurants Adam’s in 40th, Purnell’s in 65th and Simpsons in 86th. Salt, in Stratford-upon-Avon, was 50th in the list.

The highest-placed Midlands restaurant was Restaurant Sat Bains in Nottingham.

The top five restaurant were: Casamia, Bristol; L’Enclume, Cartmel; The Sportsman, Seasalter; Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, Oxfordshire; The Fat Duck, Maidenhead.
