Argentinian restaurant to open second site in Birmingham
Argentinian restaurant Fiesta Del Asado is to open a second Birmingham site after revealing plans to launch in Shirley.
The business is one of the Lasan Group brands alongside Jailbird and Raja Monkey.
The first site, on Hagley Road in Edgbaston, opened in 2012 and describes itself as the “most fun and fiery dining experience this side of Buenos Aires”.

The expansion comes as analysis by the Local Data Company of the UK’s high streets identified an increase in the number of niche restaurants – highlighting the growth in Argentian, Brazilian, Jamaican and vegan restaurants.
However chains, as well as independents, continue to struggle under pressure from rising costs and weaker demand. Carluccio’s, Prezzo, Cau, Strada, Byron and Jamie’s Italian are among the larger brands that have been forced to restructure and close sites in recent months.
