Gymshark's headquarters at Blythe Valley Business Park

Twenty one Midland’s headquartered businesses, with combined sales of £1.3bn, employing 10,600 people, have been included in the Sunday Times HSBC International Track 200 league table, which ranks mid-market private companies with the fastest growing international sales.

Average sales across these companies have grown by an impressive 62% over the last two years despite Brexit uncertainty.

Gtech from Worcester, founded in 2001, is the highest-ranked Midlands company after making international sales worth £18m in 2017 of their range of cordless vacuum cleaners, battery powered garden tools and electric bicycles.

It was one place above Gymshark, which was ranked 17th. The online sportswear company has recently moved into new headquarters at Blythe Valley as it prepares for its next stage of growth.

Warwickshire based Aston Martin have also made it onto the list after achieving sales of more than 5,000 of its luxury cars across the globe in 2017. Strong demand for its DB11 model pushed sales in China and the US to £683m in 2017 alone.

The list is sponsored by HSBC and DHL Express and is complied by the Oxford based research and networking business, Fast Track.
