Baldwins buys Worcestershire firm

Baldwins, the business advisory firm founded in Walsall, has added to its roster of 64 national offices by acquiring dhjh accountancy practice in Kidderminster.

dhjh has a client base of around 500 businesses and employs 15 staff at its office in Wyre Forest House, who provide a broad range of accounting, tax and business development work for their clients, which are often small to medium family owned companies.

Mark Craddock a regional director of Baldwins said: “dhjh has built up a solid reputation and grown its client base over the years, and by joining forces with Baldwins and being able to offer additional services means that the business can grow further in the future.”

Jane Swann, a partner in dhjh is confident that the new deal with Baldwins is an exciting development. She said: ” The benefit of joining forces with a progressive , national business such as Baldwins enables us to offer a variety of value-added services in one place to help Worcestershire’s businesses develop even further , rather than having to pass them on to a third party.”

Swann added: ” This is also a great opportunity for our staff to extend their skillset into other areas – be it forensic accounting or restructuring  and insolvency – and progress in their careers. Complying with Making Tax Digital is a key piece of work that that businesses need to prepare for at the minute – as well as exploring the potential consequences of of exiting Europe in March – so this access to extra expertise could not have come at a better time for our clients.”
