Repositioning sees fast-growing group Glide into the future

CableCom Networking Group is rebranding as Glide, assembling its three specialist companies under the name to seize the opportunities in connectivity, infrastructure, utilities and innovative technology services in the growing proptech market’s of students, residential and business.

Glide’s revenues now exceed £50m and it grew by 25% over the last year alone. With further substantial growth forecast, significant investment has been made in its fibre infrastructure which is expected to reach 500km of full fibre over the next 12-18 months.

The new corporate Glide structure will comprise of three specialist divisions – Glide Residential, Glide Student and Glide Business – each targeting its particular sector, and adding new products and services to solve problems that were previously seen as too difficult to tackle, from improved WiFi connectivity at student halls of residence through to improved cabling for developers in PRS schemes.

Tim Pilcher, Glide’s chief executive, said: “This is a significant step for Glide which proudly says to our customers we are specialists in your business and understand what you need to grow. We have an ever-increasing set of capability and fibre footprint which runs alongside our desire to make our customers lives easier.
