735 new homes for Warwick

Myton Green

Warwick District Council had approved a planning application for site-wide infrastructure and public open space works to support a residential development of 735 houses at Myton Green in Warwick. Avant Homes has acquired 13.4 acres on the huge 96 acre site, located off Europa Way.

The project is being managed by Catesby Estates, which is a strategic land promotion and infrastructure business, based in Warwick, and is part of Urban&Civic, the UK’s leading master development business.

Catesby Estates has already started work on the first phase of the infrastructure project which will include a new, tree lined community spine road linking Europa Way with Gallows Hill, and will be followed by six play areas, footpaths and cycle ways, and the planting of 250 trees, all set in 20 acres of green space.

Paul Brocklehurst, CEO of Catesby Estates said: “We are delighted to welcome Avant as our first house builder to Myton Green, this is a significant milestone for the project and signals the start of housing delivery.”

This development is intended to appeal to local people on all stages of the property ladder, as the new homes will offer a range of styles and sizes, with the first occupants moving in around the second half of 2019. This ambition chimes in with the objectives of the charities which own the land and make grants available to Warwick for a number of purposes, which include ” the housing of low income people in the town” and other activities “to the benefit of Warwick’s inhabitants.”
