High end independents add to the Mailbox offer

Two high end independent stores, English Brands and Burrows & Hare, are due to open shortly at the Mailbox in Birmingham adding to a retail offer that already includes Armani, BOSS, Paul Smith and Harvey Nicholls’ 45,000 sq ft flagship store.

Head of marketing at the Mailbox, David Pardoe, said: “We are delighted to be welcoming English Brands and Burrows & Hare to the Mailbox later this year. We are confident their high quality products will resonate with our customers and perfectly complement our existing mix of high-end fashion retailers; consolidating our reputation as the city’s leading destination for menswear and lifestyle pieces.”

“We are extremely proud to offer a platform to our retailers whereby they can connect with the region’s discerning consumers, and it is fantastic that the Mailbox is being recognised by independent brands in this way. I have no doubt that the new stores will be a huge success in Birmingham.”

The founder and CEO of English Brands, Michail Bolohs, said: “We have been looking for the opportunity to bring our high-end products to the right location for some time, and the Mailbox’s aspirational mix of stores and restaurants seemed like the perfect fit – we truly see it as the ideal place for us to be situated in this wonderful city.”

Bolohs’s optimism about the Mailbox was reflected in the comments made by Azeem Ansair, director of Burrows & Hare who added: “Whilst Birmingham may be called the second city, we see it as the only place to be right now. With the broader investment and bigger companies looking at moving to the city, we could not be happier to be joining at such an exciting time. We look forward to meeting our new customers at the Mailbox very soon.”
