Serviced office provider Regus to open latest Birmingham site

Apex House, Edgbaston

The demand from serviced office providers for space in Birmingham continues, with Regus agreeing a deal for its latest site.

It has taken 11,500 sq ft at Apex House in Edgbaston. The building, which overlooks Five Ways roundabout, is close to Brindleyplace and the Paradise and Arena Central developments.

Richard Morris, chief executive of Regus UK

Richard Morris, UK chief executive of Regus, said: “Demand for flexible office space is growing rapidly – our research shows that 53% of professionals globally now work remotely for at least half their working week and 30% of corporate real estate portfolios could be flexible workspace by 2030.

“People are recognising that they are far more productive and successful in a dynamic working environment, while businesses are waking up to the financial and strategic benefits.”

Earlier this year Regus signed up for 32,000 sq ft in the former Lewis’s department store in the city centre while last year it took over 76,000 sq ft in The Crossway building.
