Fitness franchise opens in Sutton Coldfield

Bodystreet's James Holland and Liam Dunn are watched by the Mayor of Sutton Coldfield Cllr Derrick Griffin.

Bodystreet is a branded fitness programme based on the use of electro-magnetic simulation (EMS) processes plus personal training, and its fifth UK franchise has just opened in Sutton Coldfield.

The new franchise is located in a parade of shops owned and managed by London and Cambridge Property Company (LCP).

The programme, which takes 20 minutes to complete involves participants wearing a specially designed training suit that contains electrodes which in turn cause intense muscle contractions in the wearer. There are around 240 Bodystreet studios across Germany, where the programme originated, as well as Austria and now the UK, training 35,000 people every week. Its celebrity users include Madonna and Usian Bolt.

The new franchise is owned by Sukhdev Ruprai who said:”I am very excited to bring Bodystreet to Sutton Coldfield and I am looking forward to introducing this unique concept in training to local people who enjoy a workout but are time poor. EMS is a safe method of training because it places no pressure on joints, meaning anyone can use it and see real results – regardless of their age, size or fitness level.”

Steve Pell, LCP asset manager commented that the new studio was “well placed in the town and has parking outside which makes it ideal for leisure use”.

The studio was officially opened by the Cllr Peter Griffin, the mayor of Sutton Coldfield.
