Few barriers to growth for safety products manufacturer

Berry Systems has completed a contract at Manchester Airport's new car park

Wolverhampton-based Berry Systems, which makes safety products for car parks and buildings, is seeing few barriers to growth after delivering a number of new contracts.

Its latest projects mark an ongoing period of growth that has seen the firm expand its workforce by 25% and increase sales significantly as it looks to develop activities in adjacent markets.

It was appointed to deliver vehicle barrier systems at Westfield White City and the £70m Lincoln Transport Hub, and has installed its perimeter edge protection at Manchester Airport’s new multi-storey car park.

Steve Dunn, managing director of Berry Systems, said the company was “increasingly moving into a principal contractor role”.

He added: “The marketplace is now realising that we offer more than just the off highway vehicle barrier systems. Instead, we can offer a single-source solution that covers every element of constructing a car park, from design concept and feasibility studies to delivering a complete package of work encompassing the whole building construction.”

It plans to increase its services as part of a five-year growth plan for the business, which is part of major infrastructure products group HS Holdings.
