Traffic Alert: Closures on M45 due to crash

The M45 in Warwickshire is closed westbound between the M1 at J17 and the A45 near Rugby due to a serious crash.

The emergency services are working at the scene.

Diversion route:

For all M45 westbound traffic continue on the M1 northbound past junctions 17 and 18 to junction 19, an approximate distance of 9km.
At M1 junction 19 continue in the nearside free flow lane onto the M6 northbound. Continue north on the M6 to J2, approximately 17km.

At M6 J2, take the southbound exit onto the A46. Continue along the A46 passing through the A46/B4082 Roundabout and the A46/A428 Rugby Road Roundabout to the A46/A45 Tollbar Roundabout.
