Michelin star for crowdfunded restaurant

The West Midlands has gained its seventh Michelin star after Salt in Stratford-upon-Avon was recognised less than two years after opening. Salt was launched in February 2017 by Paul and Rhiain Foster after raising £100,000 from investors and a crowdfunding campaign. Paul Foster said: "Today has been the most amazing day of my career and ridiculously emotional." Salt joins four restaurants in Birmingham - Adam's, Carters of Moseley, Purnell's and Simpsons - as well as Peel's in Hampton in Arden and The Cross at Kenilworth...
