Worcester bank building sold for £420,000

Lloyds Bank, St Johns, Worcester

The Worcestershire chartered surveyors, GJS Dillon, have sold the freehold investment in a Lloyds bank building in Worcester, to Whitehorse Estates, who are acting on behalf of a private client, for £420,000.

The Lloyds branch is situated about one mile west of the city centre in Worcester, in the St John’s area, and consists of 2,806 sq ft of internal office space, on a total site area of approximately 0.2 acres.

St John’s is a popular area for residential development and apartments, with a good local supply of traders of all kinds as well as several multi-nationals.

Mike Pritchard, who managed the deal, said: “With two years remaining on the lease to Lloyds Bank plc, the purchase represents either a solid investment or a potential future re-development opportunity on a gateway site to the neighbourhood shopping area of St John’s.
