Sea Life Centre to close for multi-million pound revamp

National Sea Life Centre

Birmingham’s National Sea Life Centre will close temporarily next month for a multi-million pound redevelopment.

Work on the centre will take place between November 5 to 11 when the aquarium will be closed for the first time in 22 years.

It did not go into detail about what the revamp would involve but National Sea Life Centre general manager, Amy Langham, said: “We’re always looking at new ways to excite our guests and evolve the attraction.

“The remodelling will enable us to house new creatures in the future, some of which will never have been seen before in the UK.”
