Winning a Business Masters Award ‘shows credibility’, says recruitment firm director

Pertemps won the Large Business award at the 2018 Business Masters

Recruiter Pertemps, which won the Large Business Category at this year’s Masters Awards, is encouraging other companies in the region to enter the recently-launched 2019 event.

The Meriden-based company, which started out as an independent family run business in 1961, has grown to become one of the largest providers of staffing solutions in the UK, owned and controlled by its own employees.

Helen Hibbert, director – permanent recruitment at Pertemps, said: “No matter how well established your business, it is always satisfying to get recognition for a job well done. A business award win shows credibility and highlights to your clients that you are doing everything possible to maintain and enhance quality of service.

“Importantly; it is an honour that can be shared with your own staff to show them that all of their hard work and efforts have not only been noticed internally, but also recognised by the wider business community.”

Entries are now open for the 2019 West Midlands Business Masters awards, which will recognise the achievements of firms of all sizes across the region.

There are 13 award categories, covering the full range of business activity in the region. They include two new awards, for Family Business of the Year and Property Business of the Year.

There is one award, Ambassador, for the individual who has made an outstanding contribution either in leading their business or in representing the region or their sector on a bigger stage. The previous two winners have been REI chief executive Paul Bassi and NEC Group’s Paul Thandi.

The black-tie dinner will be held at Edgbaston Stadium, Birmingham, on Thursday, March 21, 2019.
