Host of partner hires for KPMG’s Birmingham office
Professional services firm KPMG has appointed five partners in its Birmingham office.
Anna Barrell has been promoted to partner in the audit practice. She leads audits and relationships with numerous clients in the food and drink, manufacturing, retail and leisure sectors. Barrell has a wealth of experience, having started her career at KPMG in 2001, before moving to a role in industry in 2012 where she worked in Switzerland as a chief financial officer before returning to the firm in 2015.
After four years with KPMG, Del Heppenstall has been made partner within the cyber security practice. He has over 20 years of experience, having led large scale security transformation projects within both the private and public sector. He advises clients on topics ranging from security strategy and organisational design, to technical security solution implementation and operation.
Kate Holt has been promoted to partner in KPMG’s people consulting team. With more than 18 years of experience in consulting and human resources (HR), for both UK and global clients, she is an HR expert and transformation specialist. For the last five years, Holt has led the firm’s global HR centre of excellence, helping clients to optimise their HR functions.
With more than 25 years of audit and accounting experience, Nadia Dabbagh-Hobrow has joined the partnership, working within the firm’s audit practice as head of the UK pensions assurance practice.
Her experience includes providing audit services to some of the largest pension schemes audited by KPMG, leading risk management and governance projects for clients and being a key member of the Pensions Research Accounting Group Working Party.
Completing the suite of partner promotions is Nick Taylor, who has worked within KPMG’s deal advisory practice for 11 years. Taylor focuses on M&A activity across the Midlands, particularly in the automotive, infrastructure, building and construction sectors. He recently undertook a secondment to the office of Andy Street, West Midlands Mayor, where he advised on regional funding and investment. Prior to joining KPMG, he was an England international hockey player.
